Day Six

Pastor Jane Evans   -

We often just want God to open the door, but God wants to give you the key to the door, and for you to open it.

What do you need that requires Faith today?  Is it freedom from Fear?  Is it a job?  Is it healing?  Today, the bible says that Faith comes by seeking Jesus with all your heart.  It comes by believing that God is a rewarded of those who diligently seek him.  Here’s the thing about faith.  It doesn’t just give you access to miracles; it gives you access to everything.  If you need comfort, faith gives you access to the comforter, the Holy Spirit.  If you need counseling, faith gives you access to God’s wisdom.  If you are in pain and hurting, faith gives you access to the one whose back was laid bare with stripes so you could access healing. If you need anxiety and fear to be calmed, faith gives you access to the Prince of peace.

REMEMBER THIS.  Faith gives you access to the best resources your body, your life and your heart could ever need.  This is why Jesus came, to make you RICH in faith.  So you would have options to deal with every situation.

Some of us feel helpless.  We have situations that feel impossible.  Problems that are intransigent, that won’t shift.  Maybe you have focused on the problem instead of the answer to the problem.   Maybe you are stuck in that ‘beggarly pose’ we spoke about on Day One. If the currency of miracles is Faith, our focus needs to be on saving our faith, and then investing our faith.  We need to accumulate and save up more faith.  When we have enough faith, then we can say to the mountain…….get out of my way!

So start saving and investing your faith into God’s Kingdom purposes and then your master will see to it that your faith is rewarded by giving you more!  For me this gives purpose to my prayer, my fasting, and my service to God’s house. (My plowing in the field and looking after the sheep) In makes me want to invest my faith into the soil of God’s house, and be there on a Sunday watering my tiny seed of faith with the water of God’s word and investing it in an environment where my seed can grow.

If you do, you’ll be shocked at what God does for you.
