Day Seven

Pastor Jane Evans   -

I want to spend another day talking about growing your faith. Faith, Jesus said is like a seed, it may be small but it has the potential within it, and if given the right attention, will produce something remarkable, and utterly wonder worthy!

There are a few processes that every investor embraces when investing to grow their ‘seed.’

The first is they have to sow it! In order for a seed to grow, it must first die. In order for an investment to grow it must first be sown into a fund, or real estate, or bonds etc. Jesus said it this way talking about his own life:

John 12:23-24

23 Jesus replied, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. 24 Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.

Because Jesus was willing to invest his own life and part with it, it was able to produce “many seeds”

To invest your faith you have to die to self-reliance and dependence, and die to manipulating natural circumstances to create a result. It’s not faith if the answer is within your grasp.

Jesus went on to say:

25 Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life. 26 Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me

The second principle that investors follow is to sow into something that gets the desired return

When they ‘sow’ that seed they have a particular end result in mind. If you invest into a college fund, you want it to pay for your child’s education, if you invest in a house you want it to increase in value, whilst providing you a home and shelter.

Because faith is a spiritual currency it needs to be invested into Kingdom soil, in order to reap the desired return. Make sure that your faith is being invested wisely and into things that will cause it to grow and multiply and bring spiritual returns. When it is, the natural will automatically be taken care of.

Take some time today and ask yourself what is the main focus of your faith investment, is it to provide natural and physical things for your life, or is it to create an environment that will produce a multiplication of faith, so that you become RICH in faith? Once you become RICH in faith you have so many more options available to you and access to the resource of heaven.
